Q. How was born your passion for the world of cinema? And what was the first movie you watched?
A. As long as I remember the first movie I ever watched was “The diamond hand” - USSR famous comedy about a man who broke his hand on holidays. Local mafia wanted to transfer a set of expensive diamonds through police control and put it in the broken hand cover without telling the man. I rewatched the movie more than 100 times and highly recommend to watch it too. When I was a child I also played several roles in the movies of my native country. During it I was able to know the magic of movie creation process from within. That’s how my professional passion to the world of movies started.
Q. What can you tell about “Cassandra Venice”? How did you prepare your character?
A. “Cassandra Venice” is an absolutely fascinating masterpiece showcasing Venice from its beautiful and mysterious sides. Apart the cultural and visual picture you can be inspired by the deep and valuable idea how city can speak to us through signs and how attentive we should be to them in order to prevent the global catastrophe. I tried to find in my memories similar moments that I already lived before to prepare myself to be the main character. Actually she is very similar to me - Red Carpet and Venice, top model walking the city, noticing strange signs… When I was a teenager I liked different subcultures, including gothic style, visiting abandoned buildings so noticing mysterious signs around is also a very close experience, including the idea that someone might be following you, even if you can’t see who it is but can feel. Some moments of the movie were true improvisation, I fully lived the process in my imagination…

Q. What was the most difficult part of the process of working on this film? And the most fun portion of this entire production?
A. The most difficult part was to stop shooting cause as the creative person when you start it’s difficult to finish. You always come up with more ideas and options, more ways to grow the story or emotion, it lives like an alive creature. Once we had to shoot during very cold weather… I think that was the most challenging part for me. The funniest part was when I started to climb the gate that wasn’t planned and surprised the guard who was completely shocked. Probably the man thought it was a dream or hallucination… It was very late at night and I was wearing the evening gown and high heels.
Q. In addition to being an actress, you also worked in this film as a costume designer, make-up artist and hairdresser... What is, for you, the main difficulties to make a short film?
A. Creating a proper look is true inspiration for me. I can trust it only to the high quality professional and still prefer to select the style together, approve it. I like that in addition to acting part I had a chance to challenge my creativity by styling the movie as well. I added more “me” in the character with the outfit choice. In my opinion fashion is the additional way to tell the story, adjust emotions and broadcast the idea that the screenwriter wanted to tell. For that it was very important to understand it and feel it deeply.

Q. What is a quote that summarizes everything you’re about as an actress?
A. In every step there is a silent message: beauty can be dangerous, ellegance can be deadly. And a second one: true power comes from within.
Q. What are your favourite films?
A. It isn’t easy to choose the favourite movie among many decent works I had a chance to enjoy. I would say that from dramas “Shilndler’s list” is a very strong movie. From comedies I would choose “Miss Congeniality” cause of stunning Sandra Bullock and beauty competition topic, for horror and mystery it’s “13 ghosts” cause of their costumes and stories behind. I wish I could put much more but then we won’t be able to finish this interview today. And of course the most favourite movie of mine is “Cassandra Venice”. Don’t forget this one :)

Q. Who most inspires/influences you currently and why?
A. There are many inspiring people in the world but for me the most inspiring is my mother who is a great example of a woman with kind heart and creative mind. She taught me to believe in myself and follow my dreams.
Q. What advice would you give an aspiring filmmaker?
A. Believe in yourself and be unique. Don’t try to be someone else - strengthen your own power and differ from the crowd.

Q. We’re so glad to have you here. Do you have anything else you’d like to say before we wrap up?
A. Of course! At the end of our interview I would like to share the thought that fully occupied my mind: it’s not the action that keeps you stressed, it’s avoiding the action that brings stress in your life. If you wanted to do smth for a long time - the moment is now. Ready, set, action!
